My favourite restaurant in Batignolles. Inventive cuisine, always well executed, and lots of variety. Service is always great, too. And the suggested wine is always good and rather original.
Been there several times, clearly one of the best places around in this type of restaurants. It also has a larger variety of interesting wines to choose from compared to its peers. Also important, staff very nice and they know their stuff.
Lovely small restaurant. Menu only in French so lovely waitress helped me with my poor French to understand what I was ordering. Food was beautifully cooked and tasted wonderful. So pleased I pre-booked as it was empty when we arrived at 7.45pm but very soon it filled up. Definately go again when next in Paris. Thank you
L'Envie du Jour was highly recommended to me by a friend some time ago. We finally went there for my wife's birthday and I must say; it was totally worth it. First of all, Daphne was very accommodating to help with a late request and very welcoming on our arrival. The ambience in the restaurant is soothing. The idea of being close to the kitchen during the preparation of the meals gives such an intimate feeling. I am definitely getting that counter spot on my next trip there.
It is fun and captivating to watch the chefs prepare the food with so much attention.
And the food! Like my wife says, it is like an explosion of tastes in your mouth.

Nice cosy small place, I don't think it it is suitable for large groups (15+ persons) but I can recommend.
This is an exceptional little restaurant in the 17th arrondissement. They change their menu regularly and at both times I have been, everything we had were delicious. They are strikingly good at their sauces and cook everything to perfection. They have fantastic recipes, the food does not just "look good", it looks like bloody art work! Their waiting staff are extremely knowledgeable and are super professional, yet warm. A "must try" which became a staple of our Parisian life, I sincerely recommend.
